Highlight on HCBF’s Board of Directors: Angelo Logan

Here’s what Angelo has to say!

The Harbor Community Benefit Foundation’s role in improving the health, the environment and the general quality life of the community is extremely important. To realize this mission, it will take real collaboration, partnerships and community participation. This effort must be led by the community and guided by community self-determination.

I am honored and committed to participating in the collective effort to reach the community’s and HCBF’s mission.

I am currently the Policy Director for the Moving Forward Network out of the Urban & Environmental Policy Institute at Occidental College. I am also the co-founder of the non-profit, East Yard Communities for Environmental Justice. I have also served on the Clean Air Act Advisory Committee-Mobile Sources Technical Review Subcommittee- Ports Workgroup (US-EPA), the US-House Committee on Natural Resources Environmental Justice Working Group, and the Superfund Working Group of the National Environmental Justice Advisory Council (NEJAC).

In addition to my commitment to ensuring environmental justice, I am also a visual artist and enjoy wrenching on vintage machines.
