The Port of Los Angeles will hold a public workshop on Monday, August 3, 2026, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Banning’s Landing Community Center in Wilmington, California, to provide a status update on the first phase of zero-emission infrastructure plans for container terminal cargo-handling equipment and drayage trucks in the San Pedro Bay port complex. The workshop relates to the Cooperative Agreement between the Port of Los Angeles, Port of Long Beach, and South Coast Air Quality Management District, which requires development of comprehensive zero-emission infrastructure plans covering cargo-handling equipment, harbor craft, trucks, trains, and ocean-going vessels. The agreement builds on the San Pedro Bay Ports Clean Air Action Plan, under which the Port of Los Angeles reports reductions in diesel particulate matter by 90%, sulfur oxides by 98%, and nitrogen oxides by 73% since 2006.
