International Bird Rescue
Academic Internship Program toengage and invite young people interested in biology, wildlife or the environment to participate in aspecial internship that will benefit wildlife, the community, the students and International Bird Rescue. This project would create three academic internship positions per quarter (12 per year) and a part-time program coordinator position to oversee the management of the program. Interns will learn all aspects of the challenging and labor-intensive work of aquatic bird rehabilitation;from initial assessment to basic medical treatments, bird washing, animal handling, housing for each species and volunteer management.
