TopSail Youth Program is an education and adventure experience aboard a tall ship consisting of day sails, voyages, or both. The program is offered aboard twin brigantines, the Exy Johnson and Irving Johnson, traditionally rigged 110-foot wooden vessels and the Official Tall Ships and Maritime Ambassadors of the City of Los Angeles. The ships are docked at Berth 78 in San Pedro, California. Their goal is to help youth develop the problem-solving skills and attitudes difficult to teach in the classroom, yet necessary to stay in school and become healthy, productive adults who better understand their responsibilities as involved and informed members of society. Youth are able to explore and gain an understanding of marine-related opportunities through “hands-on" experiences during their time aboard the vessels.

LA Walks will expand the Safe Street Community Promotora Educator Program to train community members to become eductors on built environment and safe streets. This will also give them the opportunity to access City resources.

MMCC/FM has a multi-faceted education program in conjunction with the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), which has provided educational opportunities for the harbor community area since the facility's inception by way of outreach, visitor tours, classroom activities and public events, through the on-site Center for Marine Studies (CFMS).

Asthma Intervention and Home Visitation Program will focus on children 0-18

Expand LBACA's Asthma Intervention, Education and Outreach Program. Forty children with uncontrolled asthma and their families will be enrolled into the program. Community Health Workers will conduct 3-4 virtual home visits to educate the children and their families about proper asthma management to improve asthma-related health outcomes.

Recreation and cultural opportunities to under served and at risk LAUSD students. Offer field trips on the historic USS Iowa

Fix medians along truck routes, friehgt lines, and residential streets

Replace approximately 82,000 square feet of barren or weed-choked set backs and sidewalk medians with well-maintained, eco-friendly landscaping and open space along designated container truck routesand residential streets that border Port-related truck and container storage facilities; Create a 6000-foot-longflowering buffer betweena residential neighborhoodand container storage yards, and a 1200-foot-long flowering buffer between a Port of Long Beach industrial area and Wilmingtonm arina recreational area;

Beautify parkways and freight truck routes. Eliminate runoff, job creation.

Maintain White coastal Point Nature Preserve, train at-risk adults for employment in coastal horticulture
